Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Red Green LLC ("TaskSocial," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the TaskSocial mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

TaskSocial is a social accountability app. Some parts of the Service are intentionally social, such as shared tasks, friend activity, reactions, comments, check-ins, gifts, and profile information. Other parts are intended to remain private to you, including private tasks and Focus Studio features. This Policy explains the difference.

Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not want us to handle information as described here, do not use the Service.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account information

When you create or use a TaskSocial account, we may collect your name, username, email address, phone number, profile photo, and sign-in provider information; authentication identifiers created by services such as Firebase Authentication, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or phone authentication; and your account settings, notification preferences, blocked users, friend relationships, friend discovery settings, and profile customization choices.

Date of birth

We ask for your date of birth once, during signup. We collect a full date rather than an age range because an age range recorded once becomes wrong the moment it is recorded, and we would never learn that you had reached an age at which protections should change.

Your date of birth is stored in a private area of your account that other users cannot read. It is not shown on your profile, is not visible to your friends, and is not used for advertising. Section 2 explains what we use it for.

Sharing your birthday with friends is a separate, optional feature that you control. Your date of birth itself is never published to your profile.

Task, habit, and accountability content

Tasks, habits, completion status, streaks, progress counts, calendar dates, reminders, and productivity statistics; shared tasks, friend-visible task activity, milestone cards, Feed activity, check-ins, reactions, comments, gifts, charms, Pop Packs, and other social features; and photos, videos, audio, captions, GIFs, or other media you choose to upload or share.

Private task content

Private task text is intended for your own use and is designed not to be shown to friends. We also design private task text so it is not intentionally synced to our servers as readable task text — private tasks may be represented in server-side or friend-visible systems using generic text such as "Private task" instead of the actual name. Because no software system can be guaranteed to be perfect, we cannot promise that private task information will never be exposed due to a bug, unauthorized access, misconfiguration, device compromise, user action, or other security incident. You should not store highly sensitive information in TaskSocial that you would not want exposed under any circumstances.

Choosing who sees a task

You can choose who sees each task: all of your friends, only you, or a group of friends you have created. When you save a task aimed at a group, the group is resolved to the specific people in it at that moment. If you later add someone to the group or remove someone from it, that does not change who can see tasks you have already saved. Tasks limited to a group are designed to be stored separately from tasks visible to all of your friends and shown only to the people in their audience. Groups are private to you, and people are not told which of your groups they are in. As with private tasks, no software system can be guaranteed to be perfect, and the limits described in the Private task content section above apply here too.

Focus Mode and app blocking

When you start Focus Mode, your friends can see that you started a session and how it ends, including whether you completed it or ended it early and any reason you choose to give. If you choose to end a session when certain tasks are done, or after a number of tasks, your friends can see your progress (for example, 2 of 3 tasks) and the names of the tasks you picked. Tasks you have marked private are never included.

App and website blocking uses Apple's Screen Time technology. The apps, categories, and websites you choose are handled by Apple and given to TaskSocial only as opaque identifiers, so we cannot see which apps or sites you picked, and that selection stays on your device. Friends may see that your session is blocking apps and how many items it blocks, but not what they are.

Focus Studio content

Depending on what you create, this may include journal entries, prompts, mood tags, favorites, search text, and edit history; goals, notes, categories, target dates, check-ins, coaching messages, progress updates, and goal change history; task and habit drafts and suggestions; Progress Review snapshots and reflections; and Vision Board images, captions, review schedules, and reminders. Focus Studio content is designed to live primarily in local app storage on your device.

Device and technical information

Push notification tokens and delivery-related information, and app diagnostic information.

Communications with us

If you contact us for support, report a problem, submit feedback, or fill out a website form, we may collect your contact information and the contents of your message.

2. AGE REQUIREMENT

TaskSocial is for people aged 18 and over. We use your date of birth to confirm this at signup.

You cannot hold a TaskSocial account if you are under 18. If the date you enter shows you are under 18, we do not save that date, we do not create a profile for you, and we delete the account record created during signup, including the email address used to create it. We do not ask you for a parent's contact details, because we are not seeking consent to let you use the Service — we are declining to offer it to you.

If we otherwise learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we delete it and the information associated with it.

Correcting your date of birth

You can correct your date of birth in your profile, up to twice in any twelve-month period. We keep a record of changes. Two changes are not enough for someone to experiment, and are enough to fix a mistake and then fix the fix.

How we determine age

We rely on the date you give us. We do not verify it against identity documents, credit records, or third-party age-estimation services. We are telling you this plainly so you do not assume a stronger check than the one that exists.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to provide, operate, sync, and improve TaskSocial; create and manage accounts; show your tasks, habits, progress, Feed, check-ins, friends, messages, reactions, comments, gifts, and profile features; support the social features you choose to use; provide private Focus Studio features; process and restore eligible purchases, subscriptions, and entitlements; send notifications, reminders, and service messages; detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, abuse, security issues, policy violations, and technical problems; provide support; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We additionally use your date of birth to confirm the age requirement described in section 2, and for nothing else.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your private task text or Focus Studio content to train third-party artificial intelligence models.

4. HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED

With other users

TaskSocial is a social app. Depending on your settings and how you use the Service, other users may see your profile, username, profile photo, task activity, shared tasks, completed tasks, Feed activity, check-ins, comments, reactions, gifts, tokens, cosmetics, streaks, milestones, or other social content.

Private tasks are intended to be hidden from friends and represented as "Private task" where a private activity needs to appear in social or server-side systems. Tasks you aim at a group are intended to be shown only to the people in that group. Focus Studio content is intended to be private to you and is not shown to friends unless you choose to share it yourself.

Your date of birth is not shared with other users.

With service providers

We use trusted providers to help operate TaskSocial, including cloud hosting, authentication, database, storage, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing, support, and security tools. These may include Apple services (App Store, StoreKit, subscription management, Sign in with Apple, push delivery, Apple Intelligence, device backup); Google/Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics); Google Sign-In; GIPHY for GIF search; and website hosting, support, and diagnostics providers. Providers process information only as needed to provide services to us.

With Apple

Apple processes App Store purchases, subscriptions, refunds, purchase history, device backup, Apple Intelligence, and push delivery under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. We may receive purchase, entitlement, or subscription status from Apple so we can unlock features and support your account.

For legal, safety, and security reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or government requests; protect the rights, safety, and property of TaskSocial, our users, or others; investigate fraud, abuse, security issues, or violations of our Terms; or respond to emergencies or prevent harm.

Business transfers

If TaskSocial or Red Green LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a policy with materially similar protections.

5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication controls, provider security controls, access limitations, data minimization, and efforts to avoid syncing private content where it is not needed.

Your date of birth is stored in an area of your account that only you and our systems can read. It is deliberately not stored alongside your public profile information.

Private Focus Studio content is currently designed to live primarily in local app storage on your device. Local device protections depend on your device, operating system, passcode, biometric settings, backups, and Apple account settings.

No app, device, network, database, or transmission method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or destroyed. If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will investigate and take steps we believe are appropriate, including notifying affected users or authorities where required by law.

6. RETENTION AND DELETION

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.

Deleting your account

You can request account deletion in the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. When you delete your account, we remove:

Your profile and account record, and your sign-in credentials.

Your tasks, habits, milestones, streaks, and progress history.

Your Focus Studio content held on our servers.

Your date of birth and the record of any changes to it.

Your photos, videos, voice recordings, and other uploads.

Your username and phone number reservations, so they become available again.

Your notification settings, friend requests, your own Feed posts, and your check-ins.

Your account's presence in other users' friends lists.

What deletion does not remove

Some things survive, and we would rather name them than let you discover them:

Messages you sent. A conversation belongs to everyone in it. Messages you sent remain visible to the people you sent them to, as their copy of a shared history.

Comments and reactions you left on other people's content. These are stored as part of the other person's post or task, not as separate records of yours.

Tasks you sent or shared with someone else. These live in that person's account.

Gifts and tokens you sent. These form part of the recipient's records.

Safety reports filed by you or about you, which we keep so that a pattern of behaviour cannot be erased by deleting an account.

Records other users hold about you, such as a block.

Backups, logs, and legal, security, or fraud-prevention records, for a limited period.

Apple's records of purchases and subscriptions, which Apple maintains separately under its own policies. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Content on your device

Content stored only on your device stays there unless you delete it in the app, uninstall the app, or manage it through your device's backup and restore settings.

7. YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROLS

You may be able to edit your profile and account information; choose what tasks or check-ins are shared, and which of your friends or groups can see each task; mark tasks or habits private; create, edit, search, favorite, or delete Focus Studio content; delete content; manage notification preferences; block users; request account deletion; and manage App Store subscriptions through Apple.

8. STATE AND REGIONAL PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise privacy rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond as required by applicable law, and may need to verify your identity first.

9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

TaskSocial may link to or integrate with third-party services, which are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy from time to time and will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of TaskSocial after an updated Policy becomes effective means you accept it.
